Tibbits, Nettie (12 JUN 1934)

The Trinity Lutheran Church of Unity was the scene of a pretty June wedding at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, when Miss Nettie Tibbits, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tibbits of Trout Creek, Michigan, was united in marriage with Lester Ewert, son of Mrs. Carl Ewert of Unity. Rev. J. A. Olson read the services in the presence of a number of friends.

The arrival of the bridal party was preceded by a quartet consisting of Mrs. M. J. Hellestad, Mrs. J. A. Olson, Misses Ivy Meyer and Marion Larson singing "Oh Perfect Love". As the bridal party entered Mrs. W. Wieland played the wedding march.

The bride was attired in an ankle length gown of pink crepe and wore white accessories. She carried an arm bouquet of pink and white carnations. Miss Ruth Ewert attended the bride and wore an ankle length gown of blue crepe with white accessories and a shoulder corsage of pink carnations. The groom wore a navy blue suit and was attended by Donald Colby who was also attired in a suit of navy blue.

After the church services the bridal party drove to Colby where they had their pictures taken. A reception was held at the beautiful farm home of the groom’s mother, Mrs. C. Ewert. Dinner was served at 5 o’clock, covers being laid for 50 guests.

For present the young couple will reside with the groom’s mother, Mrs. Carl Ewert.
