Lautenbach, Aneta J. (16 March 1925 - 7 Aug. 2005)

Aneta J. Lautenbach, 80, of Marshfield, died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Friends may call 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm, Sunday, Aug. 7, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. A memorial service at Immanuel Lutheran will be held at 11 a.m Monday, Aug. 8, with visitation an hour before services. Hansen Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Aneta had a deep faith in God. She was very active at Immanuel Lutheran Church through the tape ministry, Senior Circle, Women's Guild and Lutheran Layman's League.

Aneta's life was dedicated to serving others, actively volunteering in many organizations. She had volunteered for over 25 years at Saint Joseph's Hospital as a chapel escort and delivering mail to patients. She donated blood on a regular basis and spent much time helping friends with their shopping and transportation needs. Her final action was to donate her body to science, so that others might possibly be helped.

Until two years ago, Aneta could be seen throughout Marshfield on her bicycle, her preferred mode of transportation for running errands. She had a brilliant memory, able to remember the birthday of every person she met. She could also sing most hymns by heart.

Aneta is survived by her children, Rodney (Beverly) Lautenbach, Muskego, and Glenda (David) Henning, Marshfield; as well as her grandchildren, Aimee, Bradley and Angela Lautenbach, and Eric and Chelsea Henning. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Her family was very important to her. She deeply loved her grandchildren and was always proud to be their grandmother. She was thrilled by the engagement of Chelsea to Nicholas Beil and was looking forward to their wedding next year.

Aneta was born to Henry and Helena (Luedkte) Zinell March 16, 1925, in Marshfield. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1943. She was a linotype operator for the Clark County Press in Neillsville after her high school graduation, before moving to Milwaukee to work for the Cuneo Press. She married Robert Lautenbach Oct. 16, 1949, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Neillsville, and moved to Marshfield. After her marriage she dedicated herself to raising her family, and well as cleaning homes for others. She was married to Robert 43 years, until his death on January 14, 1993.

Aneta's generous soul would want to thank the nursing staff of Palliative Care at Saint Joseph's Hospital for easing her pain, and to her many friends for the care shown her.

Memorials can be made in honor of Aneta to Immanuel Lutheran Church and School.
