Wiechers, Sandra (1 JAN 1942 - 4 JUN 2006)

Sandra Wiechers, 64, Loyal, formerly of the Owen-Withee area, died on Sunday, June 4, 2006, at her Loyal residence. Visitation with family and friends will be Wednesday, June 7, 2006, from 4-8 p.m. at the Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, Wis. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, with the Rev. Bryn Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Gilbert, Jeff Pernsteiner, Jesse Pernsteiner, Jesse Pernsteiner, Jay Pernsteiner, Mitch Pernsteiner and Mick Pernsteiner.

Sandra Mengel, daughter of Rudolph and Agnes (Anderson) Mengel, was born in Withee on Jan, 1, 1942. She married Guenther John Wiechers on Feb. 4, 1960. in Owen, Wis. Her husband died on May 22, 1990. A homemaker, she enjoyed crafting, silk flower arranging, bird watching, and loving her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children Dawn (Jesse) Pernsteiner, Turlock, Calif., Henry (Sally) Wiechers, Loyal, Alice (Jeff) Pernsteiner, Loyal, Mark Wiechers, Neillsville, and Jennifer (Aaron) Gilbert, Loyal; one sister, Lois (Lloyd) Clarkson, Dorchester; two brothers, Robert (Cheryl) Mengel, Withee, and Ken (Patricia) Mengel, Withee; and 13 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one brother, and one sister.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
