Schuld, Sophia (18 JUN 1902 - 4 JUL 1934)

Sophia Waseca, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Waseca was born June 18, 1902, in Eaton Township, Clark County, Wisconsin. Her childhood years were spent on the home farm and she attended the public school in the home district.

Nine years ago she was joined in Holy Wedlock with Oscar Schuld, Loyal, in the Catholic Church at Willard.

On July 4th, Mrs. Schuld passed into eternity at her home near Spokeville, from the effects of a bullet wound. Mr. Schuld stated that he believes his wife, while momentarily insane, shot herself; causing instant death.

The deceased leaves to mourn her departure: her husband; two children Beverly, 8 years, and Jackie 6 years; an older sister, Kate, Mrs. Joe Susa, Greenwood; a twin sister, Annie, Mrs. Peter Susa, also of Greenwood and other relatives and friends. Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 8 A. M., the Rev. Father A. J. Aurit officiating and in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, at 9 o’clock, the Rev. Father G. F. Schuh officiating.

Pall bearers were Ed. Bertz, Art Klimmer, Raphael Haas, Herbert Braun, Frank Degenhardt and Matt Bentzler. Burial took place in the Catholic Cemetery, Greenwood.
