Piekola, Clara (5 SEP 1934)

At a ceremony performed Wednesday Morning, Sept. 5th, at 11 o’clock, in Greenwood, Miss Clara Piekola, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Piekola, town of Beaver, became the bride of Frank Schwanke, son of August Schwanke, Osakis, Minn. The Rev. Shanks read the service in the presence of immediate relatives.

An ankle length gown of white velvet was worn by the bride with white velvet turban and veil. She carried a bouquet of gladiola and asters. Mrs. Theodore Piekola, as matron of honor, was attired in a gown of pale green with head band matching. She carried a bouquet similar to the bride’s.

Dinner was served at the home of the bride for immediate relatives. An out of town guest was Miss Carin Franke of Minneapolis

Mr. and Mrs. Schwanke left for a week’s wedding trip to Osakis, Minn. They will make their home in Loyal.

The bride has been employed by the citizens State Bank of Loyal for the past three years and has a wide circle of friends. The groom, a cheese maker by trade, has been employed at the Loyal Plant of the Lakeshire Cheese Co., for the past seven years.

The Tribune joins their many friends and acquaintances to wish much happiness.
