WILCOX

Died, the morning of the 25th, a son of Mr. Joseph Bart. He had been sick for a long time with consumption, yet his death was not expected soon. His funeral was held at the Catholic Church at Neillsville the 27th. Surely it was a sad Christmas at the Center.

Mr. Enoch Johnson is reported sick with erysipelas. Mrs. Louis is on the sick list. Also Mrs. C.H. Benedict.

It begins to look as though it was not very healthy at the Center this winter. I think we shall have to charge it to the McKinley bill.

Dan and Lew Davidson and Walt Beach have returned home from Wausau. They did not succeed in getting any pine land. They don’t think they were treated very well.

Mrs. H.A. King and children have gone to Fond du Lac on a visit.

J.J. Rowe, Jr. and Bryon and John Rowe returned to their homes at Plymouth, Sheboygan County last Saturday.

S.D. Gibson and W.F. Bolton have the timber framed and on the ground for the foundation of a cheese factory here at the Center.

B.A.
