Tom Van Buren, from Chippewa County, an old resident of York, came down last week, accompanied by his daughter, Olive.

Mrs. L.D. Bowen, of Fairchild, is visiting friends at the Center.

Mrs. J.W. Johnson, of Milbank, Dakota, and one of York’s old settlers, was calling on old neighbors Saturday. She is a sister of Mrs. H. Windover and Mrs. John Steinfeldt. She has returned to her home in Milbank.

John Rowe and family, brother of William, E.M. and George Rowe, was up spending Sunday with his brothers and taking in the camp meeting.

Camp meeting closed Sunday evening, the 28th. The attendance was not very large on account of the wet weather.

Mrs. S. Pease, Sr., started last week for Staple, Minnesota to visit her daughter, Mrs. Joe Kimmes.

Mrs. S.W. Bolton closed her term of school in the Kurth District, in Grant, last Friday.

Frank Sischo is digging a well for Ernest Grabe.

Quite a number of the young folks of the Center are talking of going to Marshfield for the Fourth.
