Guy was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Marshfield, a son of Roger John and Dorothy (Zweck) Woodkey. Guy graduated from Marshfield High School in 1960. He entered the U.S. Army in 1961 and served in Germany as a radar technician. He was discharged in 1965. In 1963, he was married to Eithne "Terri" Norton; the couple later divorced.

Guy was employed as an electrician with IBEW Local 388 in Stevens Point until his retirement.

Guy was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Chili, where he served as a trustee and "handyman." He was a member of the American Legion Post in Babcock and former member of the Marshfield Archery Club. Guy loved the outdoors, spending time fixing up the church, hunting, sports, spending time alone and being with family. He was known for his vast knowledge of trivia, his patriotism and devotion to IBEW Local 388.

Guy is lovingly survived by his mother, Dorothy Woodkey, Marshfield; daughter, Janet Jensen, Amherst; two grandchildren, Luke and Laura Jensen; sisters, Delores Dick, Pittsville, Sharon (Bud) Hoeppner, Oshkosh, Marbeth Woodkey, Neenah; and by one brother, Ronald (Joyce) Woodkey, Marshfield. His ex-wife, Terri, with whom he lovingly spent most of his life; and 11 nieces and nephews further survive him. His father, Roger, and three children, Roger, John and an infant preceded him in death.

As Guy was so active in the care and maintenance of his church, in lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Christ Lutheran Church Building Fund.
