Aumann, Charles (6 July 1878 - 26 May 1938)

Charles Aumann, 59, passed away Thursday, May 26, 1938, at 11:15 p.m. at the Neillsville hospital after an illness of three weeks with heart trouble.

Mr. Aumann was born at Jefferson, Wisconsin, July 6, 1878, to Mr. and Mrs. John Aumann. He had been a resident of Clark County for 33 years.

He was married to Mary Hrach at Neillsville, May 21, 1907. To them were born two sons, Claude and Walter, who with their mother survive to mourn his early demise. There are also three grandsons.

Mr. Aumann was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a good neighbor and friend. He was a hard working farmer and made a success of this vocation, and will be greatly missed in his home and in the community.

The funeral was held Monday, May 30, at 9:30 a.m. St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a brother of deceased, Rev. Edward Aumann of Ft. Atkinson officiating. Interment took place in the Catholic Cemetery.

He is survived by the following brothers and sisters, all of whom were here for the funeral:

Frank Aumann, Jefferson; Rev. Edward Aumann, Fort Atkinson; Mrs. Ferd Hrach, Weston; Mrs. Wlater Knilans, Delavan; Mrs. Wm. Gaden, Neillsville; Gottleib Aumann, Neillsville; Henry Aumann, Pine Valley.

Other out of town relatives and friends present were:

Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Kemmeter, Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Kemmeter, Mrs. Ollie Haas, Mr. and Mrs. John Aumann, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Aumman, Eli Kemmeter, all of Jefferson; Miss Agnes Hrach, Wauwatosa; Arthur Wingenter, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Huber, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hook, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Oelrich, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kahalka, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Stelzl, Wenzel Steizl of Spencer.

Mrs. Agnes Berg and family, Fred Berg, Vivian Jointz, Mrs. Frank Maurer, and Mrs. Seidel, all of Marshfield.
