Miller, Ella F. (29 OCT 1936)

Miss Ella Freda Miller, daughter of William F. Miller of the town of Mead (Clark Co., Wis.), and Oscar Adolph Franz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Franz, also of the town of Mead, were united in marriage at the bride’s home on Thursday, Oct. 29, 1936, at 2:00 p.m., Rev. P.H. Franzmeier officiating.

A floor length white satin gown was worn by the bride. Her veil fell from a cap effect head band and she carried a bouquet of roses and chrysanthemums. The groom was attended by Orlin Schwarze.

Fifty-six guests were entertained at a reception after the ceremony and a wedding dinner was served. The home was prettily decorated in green and white. In the evening a dance was given at Silver Done.

Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Schwarze and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. Lobby and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Churkey and daughter, and Eleanor Schwarze, all of Owen; Misses Meta and Arvilla Franz of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Karnitz and family of Neillsville, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Franz will reside in the town of Mead, where the groom is employed as cheesemaker at the Pleasant Ridge Factory.

The Gleaner joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy married life.
