Fatal Accident at McMillan

While loading logs at McMillan on Monday, Wm. Foth a young man of the town of Spencer was caught by a rolling log and instantly killed.

The young man in company with three others was engaged in loading slieghs (sleighs), they got on the first tier and were sending up the first log of the second tier when it started to go over the load.

When Foth, who was standing on the opposite side, attempted to catch it when his foot slipped and he fell to the ground the log, which was a small hemlock struck him on the temple with the above sad result.

Mr. Foth was a young man, 26 years of age and highly respected by a large circle of relatives and friends who mourn with the yyong (young) wife and child who survive him.

The remains were interred in the Brighton Cemetery Thursday afternoon.
