Schottler, Clarence W. (27 MAY 1906 - 30 SEP 1930)

Clarence William Schottler, son of Mrs. Adam Schottler, residing two miles southwest of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died at the home of his mother, Tuesday evening shortly before seven o’clock following a heart attack which he suffered about three o’clock in the afternoon.

The young man had been employed on the farm of his mother, and was at work at the time he felt his first illness. He went to his home and laid down to rest, and as time went on the attack became more serious, and two doctors were summoned. However, the efforts to strengthen the heart failed and he passed away.

His father, Adam Schoettler, passed away one year and a day to the time of his death. He was an industrious young man, well liked by those who knew him, and he will be missed by his associates. Besides his mother he leaves to mourn, one sister, Mrs. Ed Mertens, residing near Withee.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Withee, Rev. Father McGuire of Abbotsford officiating, and burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
