Pete, Anton (15 APR 1865 - 19 FEB 1932)

Anton Pete, age 66, died at his home in this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) Friday morning of heart trouble, following an illness of many months. Mr. Pete came to Owen in the year 1915, and since that time until his recent illness has been in the employ of the John S. Owen Lumber Co.

He was born April 15, 1865 at Bathurst Village, New Brunswick, Canada, and was united in marriage to Miss Rena Arquett at Necedah, Wis., in 1890. To this union were born five children; James (deceased), Robert ow Wausau, William of Milwaukee, Mrs. Exilda Grendell, Sheldon, and Ruby (deceased). Funeral services were conducted Monday morning from the Holy Rosary Church at 10 o’clock, Rev. Fr. McGuire of Abbotsford, officiating, and interment took place in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pete of Milwaukee, Robert Pete of Wausau and Mrs. Grendell of Sheldon, all were here to attend the funeral.
