Theilig, Alvina (27 APR 1932)

The marriage of Miss Alvina Theilig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Theilig of the town of Colby and Arthur Thieme, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Thieme of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) was solemnized at the Lutheran Church at Green Grove, by Rev. M.C. Goetsch on Wednesday of last week.

The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Clara Theilig, while Harry Thieme, cousin of the groom, acted as best man.

The bride wore a gown of blue silk crepe, with a long tulle veil caught with flowers, and her arm bouquet consisted of roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore a gown of yellow crepe and a corsage bouquet of carnations.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a six o’clock dinner served to a large number of friends and relatives. The rooms were trimmed with pink and white streamers.

The newlyweds will make their home on a farm near Colby. Both are well known and highly respected people and have a host of friends who extend congratulations and best wishes.
