Phillip K. Hoeper

OWEN -- Phillip K. Hoeper 81, of Owen died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, under the care of Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, Wis. Burial, with full military rites, will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday.

Phillip was born Feb. 20, 1925, in Sidney, Mont., to Arnold J. and Maude (McConaha) Hoeper. Phillip served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He and Donna Lukens were married Feb. 20, 1952, in Montana.

He worked as a carpenter in Omaha, Neb., for 30 years. He also worked for the Douglas County Health Care Center and was an insurance agent, winning many sales awards.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Donna Hoeper of Owen; his children, Kennith (Linda) Hoeper, Withee, Peggy (Terrance) Haggerty, Omaha, Neb., and Karen Humphrey, Dorchester; two brothers, Charles Hoeper, Marshfield, and Frank (Joann) Hoeper, Tekamah, Neb.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
