Presher, Abigail U. (2 APR 1854 - 18 JAN 1927)

Mrs. Wm. Presher died about four o’clock Tuesday afternoon, after an illness dating since early last fall, aged 72 years, 9 months and 18 days.

Abigail Urana Barr was born April 2, 1854, at Linesville, Crawford Co., Pa., and lived there with her parents until three years of age. The family then moved to Illinois, where she grew to womanhood. She came to La Crosse in 1876, and soon after came to this vicinity, which has since been her home. She was married to William F. Presher on March 1, 1896, and to this union one son was born.

Mrs. Presher is survived by her aged husband, her son Sidney, and two step-daughters, Mrs. George Durham, and Mrs. Henry Johnson.

The funeral was held at the F.M. Church Thursday afternoon, Rev. C.F. Klein officiating. Burial was in Mentor Cemetery.
