Lauby, Dorothy (17 APR 1937)

Saturday morning at 9 o’clock April 17, 1937, at the Sacred Heart Church in Marshfield Miss Dorothy Lauby became the bride of Mr. Thomas Fisher. The marriage ceremony, performed by the Rev. Father Toeller, was followed by a nuptial mass.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Lauby and since finishing school she has been employed by Marshfield firms. For her marriage costume she wore a tailored suit of gray with hat and other accessories to correspond. Her bride’s maid, Miss Mildred Morrison, wore a sport swagger suit of gray. Both wore corsages of mixed flowers.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Fisher of Spokeville. He is a graduate of the local high school and since his graduation has been in the employ of his father, in his cheese factory. His best man was Mr. Leonard Lauby, a brother of the bride.

A wedding breakfast was served by the bride’s parents to about twenty immediate relatives. The house was decorated with cut flowers. Following the breakfast the couple left for a few days trip, destination a secret. Upon their return they will make their home in an apartment in Spokeville and the groom will continue in the employment of his father.

The new Mrs. Fisher is a stranger to most Loyal people but Tommie has a host of friends here who wish for him and his bride he has chosen a happy married life the Tribune adds its best wishes to those of others.
