Przybylski, Katherine (22 Feb. 1915 - 16 Nov. 2005)

Katherine Parker Przybylski, 90, of 5635 170th St., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died today, Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at her home with St. Joseph’s Hospice.

She was born February 22, 1915, in Thorp to Mary (Figura) and Nick Gwiazda. She grew up in Thorp and married Alex E. Przybylski on June 26, 1936, in Mitchell, S.D. After their marriage, they moved to Chicago, Ill., where she was employed at Hammond Organ Company. They moved to Chippewa Falls in 1969, where she was employed at Hillcrest Elementary School for 10 years.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls, and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include a brother, Michael Gwiazda of Thorp; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex, on August 7, 2002; her parents; four sisters, Mary Przybylski, Ann Sawyer, Sophie Gwiazda, Estelle Berg; and two brothers, John Starr and Walter Gwiazda.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 18, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls, with the Rev. Richard Estrem-Fuller of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday and until the time of service Friday at the funeral chapel.

Memorials to Ukrainian Holy Ghost Orthodox Church in Thorp in Katherine’s memory would be appreciated.
