Annen, John J. (5 APR 1935 - 29 AUG 2006)

John J. Annen, 71, Marshfield, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital. Private family services will be held.

John J. Annen was born April 5, 1935, in Dodgeville, to William and Florence (nee Pink) Annen. He attended Loyal elementary and high school. Following his education, he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed in St. Paul, Minn., as a semi driver for the Murphy Motor Freight Company. He later worked for the DNR home office in their security department. Following his retirement in 1995, he moved to Marshfield. He was a member of the NRA, and an avid hunter and fisherman. He also spent many hours helping the sportsman’s club at the shooting range.

Survivors include his siblings, Mary Ann (Elroy) Tapper, Wausau, Thomas (Caroline) Annen, Crystal Lake, Ill., and Deborah (Wayne) Witt, Marshfield.
