Slowiak, Christopher John (April 4, 1972 - November 17, 2004)

Christopher John Slowiak, age 32, of Colfax, WI, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, WI.

Chris was born April 4, 1972 in Eau Claire, WI to Bernard J. and Linda E. (Derks) Slowiak. He graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School in 1990.

He served in the U. S. Army, Army Reserves, and the Wisconsin National Guard. He married Julie A. Drier on April 27, 1996 in Eau Claire. Chris owned and operated Bear Valley Enterprises, a local trucking company. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid Packer fan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Julie; his two wonderful daughters, Alexis, age 5 and Alyssa, age 4; his parents, Bernard and Linda; sisters, Carolyn (Frank) Meating; Laura Slowiak; Janet (David) Goodman; Cheryl Slowiak; grandmothers, Sally Slowiak and Ellen Derks; several nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Louis Slowiak and Raymond Derks.

A Memorial Mass for Chris was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2004 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona, WI with Reverend Norbert Wilger officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family in which a trust fund will be established for his daughters, Alexis and Alyssa.

Prock Funeral Home is serving the family.
