Miller, Myrtle (30 AUG 1937)

Monday at 4:30 P. M. in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, near Granton, Miss Myrtle Miller and Dr. R. P. Ingersoll, both of Loyal were united in marriage.

Miss Miller is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Miller of Abbotsford and Dr. Ingersoll is the son of Doctors R. S. and Olive P. Ingersoll of Oxford.

As Mendelssohn’s wedding march was played by Miss Blanche Merrill of Abbotsford the doctor and his best man, Gordon Miller, brother of the bride, entered and took their positions at the front of the church. Mrs. Sara Aho, the groom’s sister, acting as Matron of Honor advanced to her position followed by the bride upon her father’s arm. The bridal party took their places before the altar and Elder W. H. Holbrook of Arpin read the words that joined Miss Miller and Dr. Ingersoll in wed-lock.

Following the ceremony Miss Jesse Miller of Abbotsford sang "Because."

The bride’s gown was of white satin. She wore a long veil and carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas and tea roses. Mrs. Aho wore a gown of pale blue taffeta and carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Miss Irene Mabie and Ernest Mabie were ushers.

The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion with flowers from the gardens of the Granton congregation.

The bride is a graduate of Abbotsford, Wis. High School. She has lived in Loyal for several months past and has won many friends here. The large number of friends attending the wedding from Abbotsford showed the esteem in which she is held in her home town.

Dr. Ingersoll is a graduate of the College of Medical Evangelists, Loma Linda, Calif. Ater serving his internship and doing some substitute work he began his first practice in Loyal about a year ago. Dr. Ingersoll came to America from India with his parents, who were medical missionaries when about 2 years of age.

A wedding supper was served at the doctor’s home by the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Miller to about thirty guests consisting of immediate relatives and out of town friends. Many beautiful wedding gifts were received. Dr. and Mrs. Ingersoll left for a short wedding trip and will be at home to friends upon their return.

The many friends they have made in ther short time in Loyal wish for them a happy wedded life.
