He emigrated to America in 1872, landing at Baltimore on Dec. 23rd. From there he journeyed to Milwaukee, and then to Dodge County. He was married at Woodland, in that county, to Miss Katharina Sperveslage, on Nov. 9, 1876. The union was blessed with eight children, one of whom died in infancy. Mr. Eisberner was bereft of his wife on July 12, 1912. Until this time the subject of this sketch made his home on the farm, excepting a few years spent on a homestead near Ismay, Mont. Deceased is survived by his wife; five sons, Arthur of Milwaukee, William of Cudahy, Frank of Marshfield, Edward on the home farm in Cleveland, and Alfred of this village; and two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Smith of Fairchild, and Mrs. Emma Gilleran of Gilman Ranch, Mont. During his residence of forty-seven years in this vicinity, Mr. Eisberner had made many friends. His was a pleasant, genial nature, and all who knew him mourn with the relatives in his death.

The funeral services were held on Thrusday afternoon of last week at the M.E. Church, Rev. L.L. Litchfield officiating. Burial was made in Mentor Cemetery.
