Hart, Francis W. (January 26, 1935 - October 15, 2006)

Francis W. Hart, age 71, of Alma Center died Sunday, October 15, 2006, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Francis was born January 26, 1935, in Alma Center to parents Herman and Agnes (Sichler) Hart. He married Carolyn Frueh August 7, 1954 in Fairchild, and they later divorced.

Farming was his life and passion. He operated a dairy farm in the Alma Center area for many years. He was a member of the Neillsville Co-op Board and the Holstein Association.

He is survived by six sons, Herman of Reedsburg, Donald (Paulann) of Alma Center, George (Lynn) of Marshfield, Joe (Mary) of Neillsville, James (Sandy) of Hortonville and Ken of Merrillan; sisters, Laura (Claire) Esser of Alma Center, Cecelia Jacobson of Sparta and Opal Koranda of Black River Falls; brothers-in-law, Edmund Statz of Neillsville and Al Koranda of Tomah; sisters-in-law Pat Hart of Merrillan and Agnes Hart of Black River Falls; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; besides many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia, September 22, 1970; by brothers, Earl Hart and Barnard Hart; and by sisters, Helen Statz and Rosemary Koranda.

Funeral services for Francis W. Hart will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Alma Center, with Reverend Cresencio Suaren officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Alma Center.

Friends may call at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, at Hixton, Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service and one hour prior to services at the church.

Casket bearers will be Brian, Isaiah, Jeff, Josh, Kevin and Mike Hart.
