Wehrman, Caroline (19 NOV 1910)

A pretty home wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Ed Buker, at 10:00 Saturday evening. The contracting parties were Miss Caroline Wehrman and Mr. William Volk. Rev. Otto Saewert was the officiating clergyman who tied the nuptial knot pronouncing the ceremony which united the lives of these estimable young people of our little city (Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis.). The wedding was a quiet one, witnessed only by the immediate relatives of the bride and groom.

Promptly at 10:00 o’clock to the music of the wedding march, played by Mrs. Adolph Meyer, the young couple took their places in the parlor, ‘mid beautiful decorations of flowers where the minister with an impressive yet simple ceremony made them husband and wife. The bride was becomingly attired in white lansdown and carried white chrysanthemums. The bridesmaid, Miss Mary Wehrman, was also dressed in white and carried white chrysanthemums. The groom, and best man, Arthur Buker, were attired in the usual conventional black.

After congratulations the party repaired to the dining room where a table laden with many delicacies was served by Mrs. Buker.

The bride is a young lady of estimable character. She was born near this city and has grown to womanhood and received her education in her home school. The groom is of German parentage, having come to this country about 13 years ago from Germany. Since his arrival here he has been constantly employed in the tailor shop of J. Volk and Brother.

They received a large number of gifts.

This office with their many friends wafts this happy young couple all the joys and fruits of life as they journey along together.
