Janet Steder

Janet Steder, 59, Athens, died Saturday, Nov 25, 2006, at her home under the care of Ministry Hospice after a battle against cancer.

The funeral mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov 29, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. The Rev. Charles Hiebl presided. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service were Randy Guralski, John Gajewski, Kevin Soczka, Ken Soczka, Jerome Pliska and Robert Witucki.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hope Lodge, Marshfield. Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, assisted the family with arrangements.

Janet was born Dec. 31, 1946 in Marathon County, the daughter of the late Walter Sr. and Clara (Wojciechowski) Guralski. On May 28, 1966, she married Lyle Steder in Poniatowski. He survives.

Mrs. Steder was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, gardening and playing cards.

Survivors include her husband, Lyle Steder, Athens; four children, Brian (Virginia) Steder, Wausau, Tammy (Terry) Hoesly, Edgar, Amy (Pat) Borchardt, Rothschild and Bruce Steder, Wausau; 13 grandchildren; five brothers, Ervin (Veronica) Guralski, Marshfield, Art (Annabelle) Guralski, Wausau, Robert (Alice) Guralski, Abbotsford, Ray (Stacie) Gorals, Edgar and Walter Jr. (Bertie) Gorals, Athens; six sisters, Dolores Gajewski, Edgar, Joanie (Norman) Soczka, Edgar, Violet (Zane) Farkas, Wausau, Lucille (Jim) Kleparski, Marathon, Barbara (Norman) Diers, Athens and Agnes Guralski, Wausau.

Besides her parents, Janet is preceded in death by two infant brothers, Albert and Leroy; and a grandchild, Montana Rose.
