At a 9 a.m. Nuptial High Mass Monday, Oct 24, 1949, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Miss Catherine Annette Kitzhaber, Greenwood, became the bride of Richard M. Deiler, Chicago. The Rev. J.J. Novak officiated at the ceremony. The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kitzhaber, Greenwood, while the groom is the son of Mr. and mrs. Albert Deiler, Dancy.

The bride was attired in a white slipper satin gown styled with a ninon yoke, and long sleeves that come to points at the wrists. The train and peplum were edged in lace. Her finger-tip veil of illusion fell from a silver and pearl headdress and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses.

Mrs. Gregory Rogillio, Greenwood, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor, and wore a dusty pink net formal. The bridesmaid, Miss JoAnn Kitzhaber, another sister of the bride, wore a turquoise net formal. Both wore feather headdresses and gauntlets to match their dresses, and carried bouquets of yellow and white mums.

Attendants of the groom were Pvt. Albert Deiler, El Paso, Texas, best man, and David Deiler, Dancy, groomsman. Both are brothers of the groom.

Following the ceremony a breakfast was served at the home of Mr. Gregory Rogillio, and a dinner and supper at the home of the bride’s parents. In the evening a dance was held at Merry Ol’ Gardens.

The bride attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and the Greenwood High School, and is employed at the Standard Coil Radio Co., Chicago, Ill. The groom attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School, Halder, and the Stratford High School. He is employed at the International harvester Co., Chicago, Ill. After a honeymoon to northern Wisconsin, the couple will reside in Chicago.

Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Deiler, Mr. and Mrs. jack Deiler, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Maguire, Mrs. William Maguire, Mr. and Mrs. William Krieg and children, Grace and Norbert, and Gerald Fitzgerald, Dancy; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker, Decatur, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Winnie, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dums, and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Condon and daughter, Teresa, Wausau.

From Chicago were Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Schmidt and Richard and Linda, Miss Esther Eckert, Mike Ruble, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hardrath, and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Barnard.

Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Beining, Mr. and Mrs. George Chrouser, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Condon and son, Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Kitzhaber and Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Condon, and children, Margaret, Jerry and Tommy, Mosinee; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Klapatauskas Jr., and children, Mickey and Donna, Thorp; Mrs. Bud Bremer, Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Giles, Marshfield, also attend the wedding.
