NEILLSVILLE -- Clifford Gordon Krohn, age 86, of Neillsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a 7:30 Rosary service, Friday, Jan. 26, at the Gesche Funeral Home.

He was born Nov. 14, 1920, in Richmond, Ill., the son of Frank Sr. and Mary (Schmiedel) Krohn. He was joined in marriage to Lucille Jung on Oct. 25, 1952, in Woodstock, Ill. Clifford worked as a carpenter and in a factory, before moving to Granton in 1977 to farm. Clifford officially retired from farming in 1982, although he continued to help his son, Jack, on the farm for many years.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Lucille, of Neillsville; three sons, Thomas Krohn of Owen, Jack Krohn of Granton and Toby (Sue) Krohn of DeRidder, La., four daughters, Judy Krohn of Madison, Jane Sprengelmeyer of Neillsville, Helen (Roy) Rueth of Unity and Ann Krohn of Madison; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Frank C. Krohn Jr. of Woodstock, Ill.
