Ella M. Pettis

NEILLSVILLE -- Ella Mae Pettis, age 86, of Neillsville, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville, Wis.

Interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery in the town of Hewett.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary Service, Sunday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis.

She was born June 29, 1920, in Fairchild, the daughter of Leonard and Luella (Smith) Rimling. She was united in marriage to Paul Woodrow Pettis on May 6, 1942, at the Fairview Church in Fairchild. After marriage, Ella worked as a homemaker and raised her family. Paul died in 2001.

She is survived by three children, Paul M. (Beverly) Pettis of Cadott, Patricia (Arnold) Strangfeld of Nekoosa and Mary (Daniel) Dick of Neillsville; 17 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
