Van Gorder, George A. (MAY 1872 - 17 JUN 1936)

George A. Van Gorder died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chippewa Falls, June 17th, 1936, at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 11 days.

He leaves to mourn his untimely death his wife, Mae, two daughters, Mrs. E.J. Nimbar and Mrs. Otto Calbaum; two grandchildren, Erma Nimbar and Gary Allen Calbaum. Also his aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Van Gorder, three brothers, Ed of Los Angeles, Calif., Fred of Stanley, Wis., and Charley of Chippewa Falls. Two sisters, Mrs. Howard Peterson of Rhinelander, and Mrs. Albert Western of Madison.

Funeral service was held Friday at 2:30 o’clock at the Griebenow-Weirich funeral parlors, Rev. W.P. Powell officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Thorp Cemetery.
