Sutter, Myrte-Belle. (1 DEC 1936)

Repeating marriage vows before the Rev. R. Ortmayer, Miss Myrte-Belle Sutter, daughter of William Sutter of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), and Lyle Montgomery, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Montgomery of Evansville, Wis., were united in marriage at a double ring ceremony performed at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning, Dec. 1, 1936, at St. Katherine’s Episcopal Church, Owen, Wis.

The bride wore a gown of white lace with a short veil and carried a bouquet of white roses and baby breath. She was attended by her sister, Marie Sutter, who wore a dress of blue taffeta and carried a bouquet of Talisman roses and baby breath. The broom was assisted by his brother, Alvin Montgomery.

The wedding was of colonial style, with gowns, and decorations of the church and home carried out along these lines. It was indeed a beautiful late fall wedding. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the bride’s home to twenty-five immediate relatives and friends of the families, after which the newly married couple left for a short wedding tour.

Mr. Montgomery is superintendent of the Galesville Canning Co., and previous to accepting a position with that company was superintendent of the Owen Canning Co. Mrs. Montgomery is a graduate of the Owen High School and the St. Luke’s School of Nursing at Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. L. Montgomery will make their home at Galesville, and leave for that place with the best wishes of their many friends for a happy wedded life.

Those from out-of-town who attended the wedding ceremony included: Mr. and Mrs. J. Montgomery of Evansville, Alvin Montgomery, Chicago; and Mr. and Mrs. Bennett Olson of Eau Claire.
