Wojdyla, Sophie (23 SEP 1931)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Stanislaus’ Church at Lublin on Wednesday morning of last week when Father Jos. Rapala joined Lawrence Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Smith of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Sophie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Wojdyla of Lublin, in the holy bonds of matrimony.

Wm. Ramer acted as best man and Miss Helen Stafin as bridesmaid. The bride was beautifully attired in a white silk gown, with wreath and wedding veil. The groom wore the conventional blue serge suit.

A reception at the home of the bride’s parents followed the ceremony, about seventy-five families being represented. An unusually merry celebration of the event lasted throughout the afternoon and evening.

The newlyweds will reside in Thorp where the groom is employed by the Thorp Hardware Co. The "Courier" joins the many friends of the couple in extending congratulations.
