Miss Dorothy Alvina Schloff, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schloff of Argyla, formerly of Loyal, became the bride of Werner Beer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beer, 11th Avenue, Monroe, Wis., at 9:30 Tuesday morning April 19th in St. Victor’s Catholic Church, Rev. E. C. McCollow reading the ceremony. The altars were decorated with lilies.

The bride wore a white satin floor length gown with an over lace train dress made in princess style with a queen Anne collar, trimmed at the neckline with bridal wreath. She also wore a train veil trimmed with lace to match simulated seed pearl studded tiara on cap, orange blossoms on the sides. Her bouquet was of Easter lilies. She wore white satin sandals. Miss Lucille Cegelske, Beaver Dam, was maid of honor wearing a rose silk crepe floor length gown with lace, white accessories. She wore a shoulder corsage of white carnations. Miss Alvina Gertsch, Monroe, was bridesmaid. Her dress was light blue net daintily trimmed with ruffles, white accessories. Pink carnations made up her corsage. Both girls wore flowers in their hair.

Marylyn Zuercher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Zuercher, wearing a yellow taffeta dress and poke bonnet and carrying red roses was flower girl. Arthur Schloff, Beaver Dam, and Albert Schloff, Horicon, brothers of the bride, attended the groom.

Following the ceremony a dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents for immediate relatives and friends. Covers were laid for 30. Mrs. Joe Hoffman, Argyle, served.

The bride attended school near Marshfield and for the past year has been employed at the R. E. Zuercher home in Monroe. The groom is a Swiss cheesemaker at the Center factory, Monroe.

Among those from out of town attending the wedding were Miss Lucille Cigelske, Arthur Schloff, and Albert Cigelske, Beaver Dam; Albert Schloff, Horicon; Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Vinger and Walter Schloff, Alamo, Texas; Dorothy Eichstadt, Madison; Mrs. Minnie Figi, Janesville.

In the evening a wedding dance was held at the new Turner Hall in Monroe. The newly weds left for Milwaukee and Chicago on a wedding trip for several days. After May 1st they will be at home to their friends in Monroe.
