Oestreich, Matilda M. (18 AUG 1880 - 11 SEP 1938)

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for Matilda Magdeline Hansen, who died at the St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield Sunday, Sept. 11 at 8:00 P. M. Rev. Langholz conducted the service at the home of the deceased. Interment was in Loyal Lutheran cemetery. Matilda Hansen was 58 years and 3 weeks old. Her death was caused by gallstones, for several years she had been ailing.

The deceased was born in Chicago, Aug. 18, 1880 and at the age of 7 came to Manville with her parents. They remained there but two years, then moved to Spencer and lived until the age of 19 when she was married to Christian Oestreich of the Town of Unity. Her husband died Jan. 18, 1929.

To this union were born ten children, Albert Oestreich of Loyal, Milton Oestreich, Loyal. Bernard Oestreich of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Everett Oestreich, Spencer, (Josephine) Mrs. Ed. Ploman, Spencer, Ralph Oestreich, Loyal and Christian Oestreich, Greenwood, Glenn, Kenneth, and Oscar all of Loyal. The deceased has one sister (Thyra) living in Sandpoint, Idaho. Besides her sister she leaves her ten children and nine grandchildren.
