LEON VANDERHOOF FUNERAL THURSDAY

Former Resident Of Colby Dies At St. Paul Saturday Night

Leon Vanderhoof, 36, a former resident of Colby, died at his home in St. Paul of a heart attack Saturday evening. Funeral services will be held at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. M. B. Ferguson, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Colby Cemetery.

Mr. Vanderhoof was born at Medford July 1, 1908, later moving to Milan, where he attended the public schools. In 1926 his family moved to Colby, where he was employed at the Olson cheese factory. He was married to Catherine Erickson at Chippewa Falls on July 11, 1936. In 1941 they moved to Wausau, and in 1943 to St. Paul, where he was employed as a refrigeration repair man.

Surviving him besides his widow are three children, Joyce, Gloria and Wanda; his father, Joel Vanderhoof, Colby; and four sisters, Mrs. Walter Stabnow and Mrs. Clarence Olson, Colby, and Mrs. Terrence Collins and Mrs. Jack Wagner, St. Paul.
