Kluck, Omerine "Ome" (February 4, 1912 - March 30, 2007)

Omerine (Ome) Kluck, age 95, longtime resident of the Town of Delmar, Chippewa County, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 30, 2007. A Christian Burial Mass was held on Monday, April 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley, WI with Fr. Robert Nelson officiating. Entombment followed at the Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls, WI. Friends and family called on Sunday evening from 3-8 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Chapel, Stanley, WI with a 7:30 Rosary being recited. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be donated to the Boyd-Stanley Catholic Schools or the Stanley Historical Society. Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.

Ome was born Feb. 4, 1912 in Alsip, IL the daughter of Joseph & Anna (Vermet) Peloquin. She grew up in IL and attended area schools and later worked as an accountant for the Rock Island Railroad for 14 years. She was then united in marriage to Albert Kluck on Oct. 12, 1940 in Chicago, IL at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In 1943 they moved to the Town of Delmar where they lived and farmed until 1974 when they retired and built a home on their property where they have resided since. Ome was an active member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Ladies Aide Society where she cooked for many weddings and various functions at Holy Family Hall. She was also a member of the Black Creek Cheerful 4-H Club, Chippewa County Farm Bureau, Red Cross, Cancer & Heart Drives, Delson Homemakers Club, Happy Hour Club and was very active with the Gray Ladies and was instrumental in the fund raising for the first addition to the Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.

Survivors include her two sons: Robert & Tom (Peggy) Kluck both of rural Stanley, six grandchildren: Jason Kluck of Sand Creek, WI, Shannon (Darrin) Seyforth of Chippewa Falls, WI, Paul (Kari) Kluck, and John, Sara and Lyn Kluck all of Stanley, WI and one great-granddaughter, Gwen Kluck, two brothers: Phillip (Wilma) Peloquin and Clifford (Marion) Peloquin and one sister, Katherine Hurley all of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert in 1998, five brothers and sisters: Edgar, Theodore, Rita, Adamore and Joseph.
