Creviston, William Henry (7 Nov. 1855 - 14 April 1935)

William Henry Crevsiton, one of a family of six children, was born to James and Mary Jane Creviston, at Springville, Wis., on November 7, 1855. There he attended school and grew to young manhood.

Coming to this vicinity, where on December 11, 1884, he was united in marriage to Clara Mae Stanley of Humbird. To this union was born three children, Harry N., Nellie M., and Rilla E. He resided on a farm southeast of Humbird until retiring a few years ago, then coming to the village to make his home.

On November 24, 1919, he was united in marriage to Ruby Agnes Durham and to this union were born two children, namely, Robert L. and William H.

He passed away quite suddenly after a short period of illness, on April 14, 1935, at his home in this village, having attained the advanced age of 79 years, 5 months and 7 days.

Surviving him are his five children: Harry, of Eastport, Idaho; Mrs. Nellie Eich, of Beloit; Mrs. Rilla McLure of Reedsburg; and Robert and William, of Humbird. Also one brother, Frank, Humbird; and three sisters, Mrs. Lenora Rumsey of Springville; Mrs. Lillie Windhaus, of La Crosse; and Mrs. Addie Gaylord, of Canada, survive. One sister has preceded him in death, Mrs. Emaline West. He leaves also a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. F. C. Falhgren officiating. There was a large number of friends and relatives present at the church. Burial was in Mentor Cemetery.
