Schweke, Minnie (9 Feb. 1886 - 16 Apr. 1963)

Spencer, Wis. - Mrs. William Schweke, 77, Spencer, died at the Leahy Nursing Home at Abbotsford Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. She had been a resident there since last Friday.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. W. R. Krueger will officiate and burial will be made in St. John’s Lutheran cemetery in the town of Brighton.

Friends may call at the Jasperson Funeral Home beginning Tuesday noon.

The former Minnie Luepke was born Feb. 9, 1886, in the town of Unity and was married there April 18, 1906, to William Schweke. She attended schools in Unity and the Trinity Parochial School here. The first year after their marriage, the couple lived in Upson after which they moved to a farm in the town of Brighton. In 1948 they moved to Spencer.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. John (Lenora) Zettl, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Donald (Estella) Prehn, Spencer; three sons, Alvin, Ladysmith; Rudolph, Spencer and Clifford, Marshfield; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Alvina Oelrich, Mrs. John Voelker and Mrs. Ella Cramer, all of Spencer, and a brother, Fred Luepke, Abbotsford, Wis.

A son, three sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
