Burgess, Hattie E. (Marriage - 1882)

Weddings are always interesting events in a community; especially when both parties are as well known as are the two who were united in wedlock in our midst last week. The bride, Miss Hattie E. Burgess, and the bridegroom, Mr. Ed Campbell, are young people whom Neillsville can justly claim an interest in, as they are both residents here and are surrounded by many friends. The wedding was last Saturday evening at the home of the bride, and the ceremony was performed by Rev. W. T. Hendren. About forty relatives, neighbors, and friends were present to participated in the enjoyment, congratulate the happy couple, and wish that the auspicious morning of their wedded life may be followed by a noon bright and serene and a cloudless sunset. They were the recipients of many beautiful and valuable presents, among them gifts from the choir of the Presbyterian Church and a few friends, given in token of their appreciation of Miss Burgess’ faithful and efficient services in the choir.
