Marshfield News

Miss Margaret Aschenbrenner, daughter of Mrs. Anna Aschenbrenner, 708 East Fifth St., became the bride of Leo Van Ert, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), at a ceremony performed at 8 o’clock Thursday morning, Aug. 10th, 1933, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father H.P. Toeller.

The bride was dressed in a gown of white satin with jacket of lace and long tulle veil which fell from a cap-shaped headdress, caught with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of roses. Her sister, Miss Dorothy Aschenbrenner, and Miss Agnes Brunner, who attended the bride, wore peach organza and green crepe, respectively, with headbands to match their frocks. Each carried a bouquet of assorted flowers.

The groom was attended by Andy Hansen and Ignace Aschenbrenner.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s home, where dinner and supper were served to immediate relatives and a few intimate friends. Among those present from away were the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Tucker and family, of Thorp, Mrs. Hughes of LaSalle, Ill., and members of the J.B. Rotnour cast of players with which the groom has been played.

Mr. Van Ert will continue his work, and Mrs. Van Ert will accompany him on his travels.
