Jicinsky, Thomas (21 Dec. 1863 - 14 Sept. 1949)

Ferdinand Jicinsky has received word of the death of his father, Thomas Jicinsky at Oakland, California. He died of a stroke of paralysis Wednesday, September 14th at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marion Moore, where he has been making his home.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford with the Rev. Anthony Fischer officiating.

Pallbearers at the funeral were Mr. Jicinsky’s grandsons: Willis and Eugene Wesley and Ambrose, James, Kenneth and Charles Jicinsky.

Out of town people attending the funeral were Mrs. Marion Moore and Mrs. Alvin Derus, Oakland, California; Mr. Wm. Wesley and daughters Mary, Helen and Carol and Eugene Wesley of Antigo; Mr. and Mrs. Willis Wesley, Green Bay; John Powann, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ertl, M?; and Mrs. John Ertl, Marshfield; and Mrs. Eve Haumschild, Milladorel Mr. Ben Dahlke, Edgar; Mrs. Joe Sterzinger and son Rudy, Mrs. John Allar and son George, Mr. and Mrs. Math. Allar, Colby.

Mr. Jicinsky was born in Czechoslovakia December 21st, 1863, and emigrated to the United States in 1900. He left the Town of Eau Pleine four years ago for Oakland.

Surviving are three sons Adolph and Thomas, Town of Eau Pleine, and Ferdinand Jicinsky, Town of Brighton, and three daughters, Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Joseph Beltram and Mrs. Alvin Derus, all of Oakland; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife, the former Anna Toman, died in 1936; they were married in Austria, June 3, 1889.
