On the 1st of April the angel of death again appeared in our midst, carrying away one of our most promising young men, Mr. Byron Lynch. The deceased was 22 years of age at the time of his death. He passed all of his school days in Neillsville, passing through all the grades of our school. After graduating, he taught four terms of school in the county when he gave up teaching and went to keeping books for S. B. Hewett, of Hewetville. The deceased had been complaining of trouble with his lungs for about a year before death. About three months ago he was obliged to give up his position, and for three weeks before death was confined to his bed.

The deceased was a member of the Good Templers and was noted as being one of the most upright and moral young men of our community. Decease leaves a father, mother, brother and sisters, residing in Neillsville, a sisters residing in Hewetville, and a brother residing in Arkansas.

The funeral services took place at the M. E. Church at 2 o’clock p.m., Tuesday. The funeral sermon was delivered by Rev. J. W. Webster in an impressive manner.

The parents and friends have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
