Davenport, Martha (21 MAY 1916 - 23 JAN 1936)

Mrs. James Davenport, 19, of the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), died at the hospital at Chippewa Falls Thursday, Jan. 23rd, 1936, of peritonitis, following child birth.

Martha Isler was born in the town of Reseburg on May 21, 1916, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Isler. She was united in marriage to James Davenport at Winona, Minn., in 1933.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her husband and parents of Hannibal, Wis., two children, Rose Lorraine, 1 ½ years and Delores Darlene, 2 weeks, one sister, Mrs. John Davenport of Withee, two brothers, Ernest Jr. of California and John Isler of Stanley.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F.H. Sprengler at the Bogumill Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon and the body was laid to rest in the Ev. Lutheran Cemetery (Sylvan) in the town of Reseburg.

Pallbearers were: John Rogus, Frank Stegen, Herman Doege, Fred Widmer, Frank Dranginis and Richard Sorenson.
