Forst, Anna (20 AUG 1935)

A very beautiful wedding was solemnized at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at Medford, Wisconsin Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock when Miss Ludmilla Ann Forst, daughter of Mrs. Anna Forst, Medford, became the bride of Edwin E. Nixdorf, Stetsonville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Nixdorf, Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.). The ceremony was read by the Rev. Gregory Reuter.

A formal gown of white satin with tight fitted sleeves capped with tiny puffs was worn by the bride. Over the gown she wore a jacket of rose point lace with a Queen Anne collar from which fell a court veil. The finger tip veil of tucked tulle was held in place by a small turban. The bridal bouquet was of tea roses and swansonia.

Attending the bride were Misses Marcella Rothamer and Minnie Czeshinski, who wore yellow and pink gowns respectively. Their gowns were floor length with feather trimmed capes and both wore matching turbans with shoulder length veils. They carried bouquets of roses the same shade as their gowns.

Immediate relatives and a few friends attended the wedding reception at the bride’s home and covers were laid for 50 at the wedding dinner and supper. Pink, yellow, and white streamers with wedding bells and garden flowers were used to decorate the home and the bridal table.

Out of town guests attending the ceremonies were Mr. and Mrs. Al Nixdorf, Dorchester, Mr. and Mrs. William Raasch, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Nixdorf, Athens, Miss Bertha Van Loo, Thorp, Fred Warns, Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Waldhart, Mr. and Mrs. John Doctor, and Miss Joyce Harder, Stetsonville.

The groom is a barber at Stetsonville and recently completed a new home where the happy couple will be at home to their many friends after the first of September, following a wedding trip through northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The many Dorchester friends of the bride and groom join us in wishing them many year of prosperity together.
