Beyerl, Sophie Rose (Marriage - 11 Jan. 1932)

A very pretty wedding took place at the St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. H. Lachnit reading the marriage ceremony, Monday morning at 8:30 when Miss Sophie Rose Beyerl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beyerl, became the bride of Mr. Carl R. Shigley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shigley of Unity. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Laura Beyerl, and the groom was attended by Mr. Albert Weix, a cousin of the bride.

The bride was attired in a beautiful ankle length gown of white satin, trimmed with lace, with pumps to match, and a silk tulle veil arranged in cap effect, caught with orange blossoms, and carried a prayer book. The bridesmaid wore a gown of deep rose satin, also ankle length.

A reception was held and a dinner served to a large number of friends and relatives at the home of the bride’s parents which was nicely decorated in rose and white streamers.

The newly married couple will reside in the town of Unity where the groom is engaged in farming.
