Ed Ball of Unity In Auto Accident

Just as we are about to go to press, news reached this office of an auto accident which happened at two thirty this afternoon on Highway 13, about one mile South of the village.

A car bearing an Ohio license, from the city of Massillon, was traveling North. When the driver approached the part of the road now under construction, he drew his car to a stop, giving as he says, the proper signal. Mr. Ball was traveling in the same direction. For some reason, he did not see the car stop. Going at a fair speed, he crashed into the car ahead of him, damaging it to the extent that they were obliged to go to Grengs Garage for repairs. The back panel was jammed in and will require a new one. A tire and luggage carrier on the rear of the car was badly bent, part of it being torn from the body of the car.

After much discussion, a final settlement was made. Mr. Ball gave the parties $20.00 and they stood the cost of repairs. We would say that Mr. Ball was fortunate in not having to pay a much larger bill for repairs. No bodily injury was reported to any of the occupants of either car.

Soo Line Buys Pitzke Bill For Show Purpose

A Pitzke bull is to be shown by the Soo Line at the big fair to be held in Minot, North Dakota, in July. They purchased the animal Monday, after a visit to Pitzke’s Deer Creek Center stock farm by Frank Kadonsky, Soo Line immigation agent.

The bull is a calf of Mr. Pitzke’s raising - five months old. He will be shipped to Minot toward the end of this month.
