Schumacker, Laura (1 JUL 1933)

A pretty church wedding took place at Eau Claire, Saturday, July 1, 1933, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, when Miss Laura Schumacker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schumacker of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Irwin Olson of Madison, were united in marriage. The service was performed at the German Lutheran Church at Eau Claire with the Rev. Augustine officiating. Only immediate friends and relatives of the contracting parties were present.

The young couple were attended by Miss Margaret Schumacker of Eau Claire, a cousin of the bride, and Arthur Zelner of Marshfield. Miss Flora Bartholomay of Withee played Lohengrin’s wedding march.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at 6 o’clock at the Schumacker home in Eau Claire, where about 30 guests were present. There were relatives and friends present from Eau Claire, Medford, Milwaukee and Fall Creek.

The bride was one of Withee’s popular young ladies, and has a host of friends who will wish her well in her new wedded life. The groom is in the insurance business at Madison and has a well established business.

Mr. and Mrs. Olson left that evening for White, Lake, Weyauwega, where they have a cottage for the summer.
