Holmes, Myrtle (Marriage - 25 Dec. 1932)

Miss Myrtle Holmes, Unity, daughter of Henry Holmes, Spencer, became the bride of J. Harvey Meacham, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Meacham, Colby, at a ceremony which was performed Christmas Day at 1:30 o’clock by the Rev. Peter Holmes at the home of the bride, in the presence of immediate relatives. Decorations for the occasion were pink and yellow.

Miss Alice Holmes acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Roscoe Meacham, best man.

The bride was attired in a gown of light green flat crepe with black and gold trim, while the bridesmaid wore a dress of black and white crepe.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s father.

After a short wedding trip the newlyweds will make their home west of Colby on what is known as the Lex farm.
