Staffeil, Aurilla (Marriage - 19 Aug. 1933)

Miss Aurilla Staffeil, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Staffeil, and Mr. Johnny Bowen, son of Mrs. John Bowen of Withee, were quietly married at the Zion Lutheran parsonage at Colby Saturday afternoon, August 19th, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Alice Staffeil, sister of the bride, acted as the bridesmaid and the groom was attended by his brother, Clayton BOwen, Wis. The bride was attired in a tan suit with hat and accessories of brown. The bridesmaid wore a gray suit with black accessories.

Following the marriage ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents where a six o’clock dinner was served immediate relatives. The home was nicely decorated with cut flowers for the occasion. In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at the Oakwood pavilion which was largely attended by relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Bowen will make their home at Withee.
