Hoops, Henry (3 Mar. 1885 - 27 Oct. 1951)

Spencer, Wis. - Funeral services for Henry Herman Hoops, 66, Town of Sherman, Clark County, who died at 3 p.m. Saturday at his home, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Swarthout Funeral Home where the body is reposing. The Rev. Randolph Mueller will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery at Moon.

Mr. Hoops, a retired farmer, was born March 3, 1885, in Wayside, where he received his education. He was also confirmed there at the Lutheran Church.

His marriage to the former Maggie Nitz took place in Mosinee Dec. 15, 1906. They resided at Moon until 10 years ago when they came to Spencer.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Lawrence, Dancy; three brothers, Herbert Hoops, Fond du Lac; and Ervin and Martin Hoops, Spencer; and five sisters, Mrs. Albert Vanderhoof and Mrs. William Plath, Spencer; Mrs. Harry Graham, Sycamore, Ill.; Mrs. Frank Martin, Fremont, and Mrs. Herman Molle, Unity.

Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
