Reineke, Barbara Ruth (August 24, 1943 - July 18, 2007)

Barbara Ruth Reineke, age 63, died on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at HospiceCare.

She was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin on August 25, 1943, the daughter of Corwin and Anna (Zimmerman) Guell. She graduated from Thorp High School in 1961. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1965. Barbara married her high school sweetheart in 1965 and they were married for 42 years until her death. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Master of Science degree and as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1998. As a registered nurse she worked in various facilities in the Madison area including the University Hospital and Clinics, Dean Health Services and HospiceCare, Inc. As a family nurse practitioner she worked in family practice and at Women’s Health America.

Barbara was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on January 30, 1971. Her ministry was an integral part of her life. She was an active member of several congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses. These included congregations in Withee, Madison, Sun Prairie and Rio. She loved to share the Bible’s happy hope for the future at any opportunity that she could. Barbara was a loyal wife and mother. Her family was one of the most important things in her life.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; her son Craig (Renee) of Brooklyn, NY; her daughter Rebekah of Madison; her sister, Genevieve (Robert) Cliver of Green Bay and her brother, David (Ann) Guell of Oregon, WI as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

A Memorial Service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5475 Portage Road, Madison, WI, on Saturday July 21, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with David Bakken presiding. Visitation was held two hours prior to the service on Saturday. Anyone wishing to give donations may do so directly to the family.
